In the words of the late great jim morrison, this is the end. After 30 years of senior cricket ive had enough. I have no desire to train, or to commit myself to play with the vigour and intent needed. Bluntly, i am over it. So my last game of cricket interesting.I was there early to enjoy a good positive pre game warm up so the many young players and future of the club would understand what is the norm. After the vigorous warm up we would move into the game with motivation and intent and crush our oposition. What happened yesterday is no one individuals fault but the fault of the club as a whole, no structure in place no defenite guide lines, lack of respect for the game and the way it should be played by peoples directly involved in saturdays effort. Did this game retire me, in part yes, but only through the realisation that half way through the game i couldnt care less what happened, i just wanted it to end.
So will see you all after xmas with stubby holder in hand and possibly a note book wandering from ground to ground finding topics.
