Fish! do I assume from your comment that you think the current committee are dishonest, gustless and apathetic. If thats your intention then I am affended and perhaps the current committee should not re-nominate for ellection this year. Perhaps we can see what yourself and anyone else that feels the same can do. I think anyone who wants to get involved in the running of the club is a good thing and would welcome any new members to the committe but, any critisism of those people or their decisions should be discussed at committee levels and not in public forums. We all serve our club on a voluntary basis and if you can bring something to the table that can improve our position then WELCOME.
Lets not jump to conclusions. It may not actually be Terry typing, someone may be playing silly buggers? If how ever these are Terry or anyone's thoughts, I would have to completely agree with One Tonne in noting that this forum is not the appropriate place to air such opinions. Further more one can not just assume they have a place on a committee, you need to be nominated, then seconded and then withstand any objectors. Please remember that all those hard working committee members only have the best intentions for all members of Montrose Cricket Club.

Sorry to all those who thought that was terry fisher writing, it was just a silly & stupid joke by mitch van koll.
i apologise to all those who took offence to the comment, it was just a practical joke between me and terry that has obviously got out of hand. i have full respect for terry as has everyone who knows him, he is a good friend of mine and i was just stering him up.

Why the edit? People are allowed to have opinions, be it ill informed, incorrect or blatentley ignorant. In the end they are like hearts just about everyone has one. Everyone has the right to respond andoffer their own opinion or counter point, thats why we live in a democracy with free speech and the right to put forward idea and comment that can then be judged by individuals and then you make your own personal opinion.
I got closest in the sweep!! We had 15 attendee's and 4 apologies. To all those on the committee, congratulations, good-luck and THANK YOU. For those who didn't attend or send their apologies, don't complain, you had your chance!! If you would still like to make a contribution to the club efforts, I'm sure Brett and his committee would greatly welcome and appreciate your support..

Thanks 'One Tonne' for your support. After 20 years at the club, playing, volunteering, coaching and Life Member, I am very dissapointed that you or anyone else who knows me would even think this pathetic information to be true. It was brought to my attention at junior football from someone who reads this website. I didn't even know this information was on here. God only knows what else was said????
According to your profile "FISHER" your name is Bev, I don't believe that anyone called Bev is a life member of Montrose Cricket Club? Hope you're not posting under an alias? Lets be honest here, One Tonne has purely defended himself and his fellow committee members. Perhaps your angst should be targeted elsewhere, it was posted under a profile using Terry's name. It was dealt with swiftly by other committee members and assuming by Mitch's retraction, he now realizes it was a silly thing to do. We all appreciate Terry's efforts over his long journey at Montrose CC, that is why he was bestowed with LIFE Membership.

I think the lesson from this whole situation is to ban anyone from posting using someone elses name. I know until now its been a bit of fun but as we can see it can also be damaging. But having said that I still stand by my reply given that I thought the comments were genuine. I would have the reaction to anyone who makes similar comments and I have no personal problem with Terry and I feel we have always gotten on well. At the time of my reply I had no reason to think that it was anyone else but the person that was posting. I know Mitch has appologised so lets move on.
