We have been placed in the 09/10 "U18's T20 Champions League'
Thanks to possums great 'coordinating skills' we have been placed in the RDCA U18 T20 comp. We will probably be playing on Wednesday evenings, home games at Montrose Reserve.
Now obviously we will be short on players for most games, so Brett has offered to give some U16's an opportunity to play in the comp. Wait!! **message to the gossipers/complainers:"If you are short on U18's then you can fill your side with Under 16 players for the purpose of this competition" --- Quote from the RDCA. And YES Brett is ok with U16's playing.
Anyway the competition should be fun and a great experience for all those who will play. I will find out the fixture soon, so I will post it soon.

Dear All, Thank you for registering a team in the RDCA Under 18 T20 Competition. For the information of everyone the following sides have been entered:
Bayswater Park Boronia Croydon North Knoxfield Montrose North Ringwood St Andrews Templeton Warranwood Yarra Valley
Now that we have final numbers I would like to propose the following playing rules and conditions:
* Two pools of 5 with each team playing each other once (therefore four home and away matches each) * Top team from each pool play off in the final * Use the Rules set down by the RDCA Senior Committee and substitute all references to "Senior Committee" with "Junior Committee" http://www.rdca.com/Documents/Downloads/0910_RDCA_T20_Rules.pdf * Each team to supply an umpire for their own Home and Away match * Official Umpires to be provided for Finals matches * All sides entering recognise the RDCA Junior Code of Conduct and accept that the RDCA Junior Tribunal will deal with any breaches as per the Junior Rules http://www.rdca.com/Documents/Downloads/0910_rdca_jnr_rules.doc * Entry Fee of $25 per team to cover cost of Finals Umpires and Medalions for Winning Team * Each team to supply their own ball * Colored Clothing is permitted
Based on the above I propose the following dates:
Round 1 Wednesday 4th November 2009 Round 2 Wednesday 11th November 2009 Round 3 Wednesday 18th November 2009 Round 4 Wednesday 25th November 2009 Round 5 Wednesday 2nd December 2009 Final Wednesday 9th December 2009
Anyway none of this is set in stone so please provide any feedback by no later than Friday and I will distribute final details to all parties.
