Howd you boys bowl Mitch? Some good batting from Ben Galante at the end was good to watch Good to watch some spirited and lets say confident individuals from both teams enjoy their cricket! Christiano Rinaldo, Anthony Mundine and the great Wayne Carey could learn a few things!

The difference is those three blokes could back it up on the sporting field.. Some of the worst and most ridiculous sledging I've ever heard. Especially from the young man at first slip!! What those young boys need to remember is that in such games they are representing ALL of Montrose Cricket Club.

I am 1000 % with Andy. The sledging on Wednesday was embarrasing to say the least and the worst behaviour I have seen from a Montrose "junior team" in my 10 years of being involved with the junior part of the club. This is a reflection on the whole club and is quite frankly not good enough. The example set to the Under 16's who filled in for us was appalling.
The message is simple ..... Cut it out or find someone else to look after the team !!!
As for first slip - sledging a batsmen who has just belted one of our better bowlers for a consecutive 4 and 6 about his lack of skill- not real smart .... think about your team-mates and the Montrose CC ....
Dont know if your strongly disagreeing with me Cat i did start the post saying there was some severe arrogance out there, just said it in a more light hearted manner, i also left 2 overs into their innings so didnt see most of the sledging mate.
I entirely agree with you Dan in regard to the arrogance of the other side. But our players must take responsibility for there own actions, and what they dished up on Wednesday was unacceptable in my opinion. I love a good sledge and some gamesmanship as much as the next bloke, but this was very un-sportsman like behaviour.
I also think it shows a distinct lack of respect for their captain, their team manager, the Junior players filling in and those of us that went there to support them.

Yes, I believe some of the sledging went too far, and far to ridiculous. Maybe the bloke from first slip should have shut up, once the batsman actually made runs. All that I can say is that i'm sorry for most of my contribution. At the time I didnt see it as starting as bigger uproar as it has. It was meant as harmless fun.
If anyone has a problem with my side you can speak to me in person, instead of sharing it on a public forum.

Montrose cricket club under 18s is the teams name i think. my point was get over it and move on, maybe i was a bit blunt .If you dont like it ,dont read it.

worst part is that the comments are not true, and is an insult to the side. I'd rather see support from the fellow wolves....
Yeah fair call Mitch, however you must consider that Andy, Cato and Barn went down to watch you boys because they wanted you guys to have a win and generally care how you went. I know when i was in under 18s it was great to see Burls and a few of the older blokes supporting the team. That support would dwindle under certain circumstances, however i think with the team you have that wont be the case. Good luck next week mate cya at training
i'd hate to say it but i was embarressed by our performance during the 20/20 and sometimes even on a saturday. some things that have been said were totally uncalled for, OUR CLUB IS BETTER, THAN WHAT WE ARE SHOWING.
