Congratulations to Brett as President and all the Captains and players of the top three teams for being voted No 1 in the Spirit of Cricket Award.
It is a credit to all involved that our club has matured to a point where we are now a very well respected member of the RDCA. Those who have been around a while will remember that this hasn't always been the case. Our reputation has certainly risen on the back of some hard work and strong leadership and we need to continue to work hard.
When we get back to the top grade we will clearly be the envy all those flogs who have denigrated us in the past.
The First XI had a season rating of 9.15 out of 10 for, Respect of Umpires, Responsibility Regarding Laws of the Game, Captains Co operation, Respect for opposition and Overall Spirit of Cricket. Voted on by the umpires at the end of each game.
A couple of interesting things to ponder. A - No Garthwaite, Podesta or Storm and we finally win this award. You do the Math. B - Imagine if Chad hadn't complained about all those turned down LBW's ("why not!!"). We may have received perfect 10's..

Yes its very nice to win the 'SPIRIT OF CRICKET AWARD', although i'd rather win something else and be known as a prick to my competitors! My personal view only and not denegrating anyones achievements or personal beliefs or team efforts. Ithink i covered everyone!
