As for training this season, the general feel was that we need to get more intensity into our training and do a lot more work on our fitness. Both mental and physical fitness. Come the start of senior training Barney, and his coaching panel, will have a basic program mapped out and then develop individual programs as they see fit.

Definetly agree with you on a fitness perspective, especialy for the pace bowlers Should start doing something now for those who dont play football if the other boys are interested Definetly alot of improvement in alot of players including myself if fitness and strength improved We should start doing more fielding to at our weekly sessions, struggled alot early and late with fielding last year
I reckon you're spot on Daniel. Perhaps we should speak to Gus & Chad to see if they can map out a fitness regime for players like, yourself, J.Pod, Dewy, BG + Josh. Maybe me and Bacs should do it too, and lose some weight!!!!

hey boys, great to see so many of you are keen, i have spoken to chad and we are going to get in place some fitness training this pre season and during the year.like you guys i am keen to get fitter and work hard as ever. i am thinking of something we did with footy training, we did a bit of work at lilydale lake eg. cross training, we could do a couple on sundays. i would like some feedback on what a few of you would be keen to do.
I'm confused Mitch. Please let me know what is acceptable and what is not? One minute I'm too serious, then I try to have a bit of fun and you tell me I'm a smartass?

In terms of what to do Aerobic fitness i think important however cricket mainly a game of short bursts of efforts, then rest so maybe anaerobic exercies designed to keep the muscles fresh for sustained periods of time and fitness up for long bowling spells in the heat
i will get on to it boys as soon as i can, never saw a ice cream van there, really think i missed out on that one,so did the ice cream guy would of made a killing .
did two laps of the lake this arvo then a choc dip. tried to see if we could get cheap ice creams if we turned up in numbers, bad luck boys youll have to bring your own or pay premium.I think you can all play on the swings for free.
